The way technology is making convergence possible constantly surprises me.
The church needs to learn to piggy back and use this free technology for the gospel.
I used to distribute tracts all over town but now it can be done via Facebook in soundbytes!
Yeah, not only how technology advances, but the rate that it evolves. I started on the Internet bandwagon in 1996, when I was starting NS, and "back then", it was 28.8 kbps dial-up, when it takes a couple of minutes for one web page to load! Back in primary to secondary school, we were on the tail-end of the floppy disk era (3.5 and 5.25-inch)!
I agree about how the church needs to address and engage with technology in a positive and wholesome way, to reach out to the tech-savvy generations to come. Even President Obama utilised Web 2.0 tools and online networks like Twitter, YouTube and Facebook to connect and relate with the younger voters.
